What Is 0% PCR
0% PCR means the bottle or closure is made from virgin (new) plastic resin with no post-consumer recycled content. Virgin PET and PP offer the most consistent color accuracy, clarity, and structural properties. Some brands choose virgin when their supply chain or regulatory environment does not require recycled content.
When to Choose Virgin
Choose 0% PCR when your brand does not yet have a recycled content requirement, when you need exact color matching that has not been validated in PCR, or when you are testing a new bottle shape and want to eliminate variables. Virgin bottles are available in the same shapes, sizes, colors, and neck finishes as PCR bottles.
