What Is PP
PP (polypropylene, resin code #5) is the standard material for closures: caps, pumps, sprayers, and lids. PP has a higher melting point than PET, which makes it suitable for the mechanical components of pump mechanisms and the hinge joints of flip top caps. PP also provides excellent chemical resistance and a matte finish.
Closures Made from PP
Disc top caps, flip top caps, lotion pumps, foaming pumps, smooth lids, ribbed lids, and sprayer components are all PP. The material is available in white, black, and natural.
PCR PP
PCR PP closures are available at the same price as virgin PP. Recycled PP uses post-consumer recycled polypropylene that maintains the same mechanical properties, color options, and chemical resistance as virgin PP.
